Your Protective Walls

What are the protective walls you have built around yourself when feeling vulnerable or scared?

We all at some point in our life hold ourselves back from new experiences and people for the fear of being hurt. It is key to discern when these walls are helping us to create a safe self-container that helps us heal and/or when they become a crutch to our growth.

Emotional walls are like the shell of a lobster. The shell that once was a protection, now becomes tight and is the biggest hold back to its growth. The lobster must crack its tight shell to enable its development. During this process its flesh gets exposed to salty water and that helps it grow and become stronger while the new shell is produced.

Like the lobster, we must learn to shed away our shell / protective walls so that we can progress and grow personally and professionally in our life. That will help us to say yes to new experiences, new relationships and continue to magnify our mission in the world.
