The Gala of Focus Ballroom Dance is more than an annual event—it's a celebration of a community committed to excellence not only in dance, but in our personal and professional lives.

Under the leadership of Mirko Spano, Pamela Romano, and Francesco Spano, we are shown what it truly means to pursue mastery. Through their instruction, coaching and example, they help us awaken the parts of ourselves that crave expansion, expression, and purposeful evolution.

What’s fascinating is that dance doesn’t stay on the dance floor.

It mirrors how we show up in life—

our willingness to relate and join efforts with others,

our discipline to train, perform, compete, and deliver real results,

our courage to evolve and bring others along with us,

and our commitment to continually polishing the best version of ourselves.

Through every transition, challenge, and breakthrough, it’s been beautiful to witness how much stronger the Focus Ballroom community has become. Each person grows individually—and together, we rise.

I’m deeply blessed to be part of this family.

It has helped me blossom—revealing the many layers of who Maritza is as a leader, a woman, a friend, a creator, a business partner… and showing me the power of confidence, expression, fun, joy, choice, and showing up as my best self.
