HFMA Women’s Dinner

Your Voice. Your Seat. Your Impact.

On November 4, I had the privilege of serving on the organizing committee, contributing ideas, and sponsoring the HFMA Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Women’s Dinner. I left more certain that I am where I belong.

Under Christine Jones’s leadership, we brought together 70 women and men across healthcare finance for an evening of connection, generosity, and shared purpose.

We turned introductions into connections through bingo and collected ~60 purses to support professionals entering the field. Professional confidence, presence, and belonging matter; especially when taking the next step in your career.

One highlight was a keynote on Leading With Love -Turning Purpose into Performance, featuring Harris Health System’s work inspired by Love as a Business Strategy by Mohamed Anwar, Frank Danna, Jeffrey Ma, and Christopher Pitre.

With 1,200 leaders at Harris Health embracing this philosophy, championed by its CEO, the message was especially meaningful.

Having worked with Frank Danna, it was rewarding to see this philosophy translating into leadership practice within one of Houston’s major health systems. It reinforced a conviction I have carried throughout my career:

Human-centered leadership is not separate from business performance. It is one of its most powerful drivers.

We also contributed a reflection card with a simple invitation: Pause. Reflect. Reconnect with yourself.

When we lead from our best selves, we create the conditions for others to thrive.

This is at the heart of my work:

✨ MyPurposeConsulting, advancing leadership effectiveness, Relationship Intelligence, and organizational performance by activating the human capabilities that drive exceptional results.

✨ Callagy Recovery, helping healthcare organizations recover revenue they are entitled to through strategic partnerships designed to minimize additional demands on internal resources.

My professional journey began in oil & gas, including 28 years of corporate leadership experience. Today, I bring those experiences into healthcare with a belief that transcends industries:

Business performance is driven by people, the quality of their relationships, and their ability to execute together.

Christine Jones, CRCR, thank you for your leadership and for creating the space for this community to connect and grow.

To HFMA Texas Gulf Coast Chapter, I am grateful to be part of a community whose commitment to professional excellence, collaboration, and service resonates deeply with what I stand for.

Your Voice. Your Seat. Your Impact.

I heard the invitation. I am committed to contributing my voice, taking my seat, and multiplying our collective impact.

When purpose, partnership, and performance come together, we create something greater than any one of us can achieve alone.
