Leadership lesson from the most important boardroom of all—family
Back in Houston and easing back into the rhythm of work.
Family time always recenters me. It reminds me that grounding and fulfillment don’t come from pace or progress—they come from presence.
This trip was spent mostly on the road and in the cloud forest, yet as we always say… it’s never about the place. It’s about being together.
It had been a while since my brother and I shared real time. He’s one of those rare, wise souls who brings calm, logic, and light wherever he goes—someone who makes everything he touches a little better simply by engaging with it.
His thoughtful, analytical approach and steady presence have guided me through many of life’s key decisions.
I’m deeply grateful for him—and for the reminder that true leadership begins at home: in how we listen, support, and show up for one another.
He created beautiful experiences to celebrate our parents’ 80th birthdays and other important events to honor them, to connect us more deeply with our ancestors, and to share moments we’ll carry forward for generations.
Who in your life is that trusted voice—the grounding presence you can always count on?
Take a moment today to reach out and thank them.
Gratitude shared is influence multiplied.
