Speakers that Connect
Some speakers inform. Some inspire. And a few rare ones do both while touching the mind, heart, and soul of their audience.
At the Lone Star HealthTech AI Summit at the Texas Medical Center, the closing keynote by Dr. Hassan Tetteh MD MBA FAMIA, was one of those rare moments.
Dr. Tetteh truly embodies the intersection of medicine, technology, leadership, and humanity. A retired U.S. Navy Captain, heart transplant surgeon, author, and Founder & CEO of HumanCare Technologies, his journey—from the operating room and the battlefield to the boardroom—has shaped a powerful perspective on innovation, resilience, and the future of healthcare.
What made his keynote so impactful was not only his extraordinary credentials, but his ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, purpose, and authenticity, leaving the audience both inspired and deeply reflective. His message reinforced that while AI is transforming healthcare, the ultimate goal of innovation must always remain human-centered—improving patient outcomes and strengthening the human connection in medicine.
Beyond his leadership in human-centered AI, precision medicine, and digital health, Dr. Tetteh also contributes to shaping the next generation of leaders as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University, adjunct faculty at Howard University College of Medicine, and professional faculty at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s Center for Digital Health and AI.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Asif Ali, M.D. and Cena Research Institute for organizing such a meaningful summit and for thoughtfully selecting Dr. Tetteh as the closing keynote speaker. It was a powerful way to conclude a gathering dedicated to advancing the future of healthcare through innovation and collaboration.
Grateful to have been part of such an inspiring event.
