Letting Go
Have you ever walked into a room that used to feel like home and realized, somewhere between the hello and the goodbye, that it no longer fits? πͺ
Not because it broke. Not because anyone failed. But because you grew; and growth does not ask permission, and it does not wait for everyone to come with you. π±
I used to stay. Past the point where it served me. Past the point where it served them. Because leaving felt like betrayal. Because the aloneness on the other side felt scarier than the depletion I was already living in.
But here is what I finally understood:
π€ Silence does not protect anyone. It just makes both people carry the weight alone.
β¨ The most loving thing I ever did was stop pretending we were still on the same page.
Not with bitterness. Not with blame. With gratitude for what was and honesty about what is.
Because when you release a relationship, a workplace, a chapter of your life with truth instead of resentment, it does not disappear. It finds its right size. Its right distance. Its right form. ποΈ
And that version β the honest version β can actually last.
To every space that shaped me, every person who walked beside me for a season: Thank you. Genuinely. π€
We just needed different rooms. πͺ
And choosing mine was not abandonment. It was finally belonging where I truly belong. π¦
Now I want to ask you:
Where are YOU still staying past your season? π±
Drop it in the comments. You do not have to name names. Just name the feelingβ¦ Letβs talk about it.
